Latrivia Nelson is an up and coming new author presenting the world
with her first Interracial Romance Novel,
Ivy's Twisted Vine.

After years of being exposed to many different cultures and lifestyles,
Latrivia was inspired to write a book based in part on the many types
of people and places that she had come in contact with while at
LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, TN.

BACKGROUND
In 1998, Latrivia accepted a full scholarship to LeMoyne-Owen located
in Memphis, TN.  As a wide-eyed freshman from Horn Lake, MS, "
Trivi"
took life by the horns.  Most people loved her ambitious nature and
her down home southern charm.  She was extremely active in Greek
life, honor society, the school newspaper and student government
association. She held several different titles including president of her
sorority (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.), official health reporter for
the school news and  Ms. LeMoyne-Owen College 2001-2002.

During her time at LeMoyne-Owen College, Latrivia also had the
distinguished opportunity to work on several political campaigns
(including the 2000 U.S. Presidential Campaign) and intern for some of
the most prominent non-profit and for-profit organizations in the city
(including Trust Marketing, Inc., St. Jude’s Children’s Research
Hospital, National Civil Rights Museum, the Memphis Grizzlies
Basketball Team and the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation).

In 2003, Latrivia graduated from LeMoyne-Owen College with honors
and accepted a job offer with the National Civil Rights Museum as a
special events coordinator for the 2003 Freedom Award honoring
former U.S. President William Jefferson Clinton and civil rights activist,
Maxine Smith.   In an effort to transition from college life into a
challenging career, Latrivia completed
Ivy's Twisted Vine.

During this time, she also met and married her husband Adam
Nelson.  Soon after her marriage, she relocated to the Camp Lejeune
USMC base, but never gave up on her dream to publish her book.

In the spring of 2007, Latrivia received her Masters of Business
Administration from
Strayer University and published her first novel.

Latrivia has since returned back to fund raising, started her PhD and
began her second novel scheduled to be in bookstores in 2009.
